Hi, I am Jill Keating of Jilli K Creations.
As a Creative Volunteer for GPAI Nambour I am very excited to share what projects we are working on. I will give ongoing details about who is working with me and what wonderful fabrics and accessories we are using.
FABRIC ART in RE-PURPOSED FRAME!

"One of the things we have been working on is a framed fabric art. Michelle, whilst not an artist, did a great job decorating the frame which finishes the work off beautifully. The picture itself is made from beautiful re-purposed fabric, lace and funky buttons, all of which were generously donated. Some of the resin buttons are actually made by a mother and son team who has a intellectual disability and is very talented. I arranged and glued them into place - it's unique and a little quirky! Once we make one work we can make more. We learn what glue is needed, what fabric works best and then into production (which means another two or three)
FABRIC & TASSEL PIN BOARD:
What better way to make use of mattress topper foam donated by the Yandina Mattress Company tassels from Eileen Middleton Interiors sample books and fabric from Warwick, Zepel, James Dunlop and more

Creative Pin Board SAMPLE
With such an amazing array of fabrics to choose from, it was simply a matter of cutting and arranging them onto a re-purposed board which Michelle strips with her team from Fabric Sample Books. Saving things from Landfill is our catch cry and finding a creative purpose for them our objective!
This piece of 'art' is not only is tactile, but purposeful as well. We will work on the glue coming through some fabrics by adding more bling.

Jenny Bradshaw, one of our Special Olympic Golf Athlete families picked up the donation in 2017.. we are always surprised at the kindness and generosity of our supporters!
